Square Enix Switchup - New boss, Same as the old?
Square Enix President, Yosuke Matsuda, will be voted out of his position as president by the end of this month. His replacement Takashi Kiryu seems to have worked his way up the ladder for this position, but we really have no idea what he's going to bring to the table as far as steering the ship. As far as we know, Former president, Yochi Wada, had an obsession with cloud gaming that lead to his removal, and Matsuda went hard for NFTs, which haven't really proven to be beneficial for gaming other than get rich quick options for less than savory business practices. Will this save Square Enix as a whole? Only time will tell.
