So let's propose a thought experiment;  Say the translation of Persona 5, the supposed "putting gays in a predatory light" argument that's been running around on Twitter, as of late. Was a result of poor localization, and thus the backlash and subsequent alteration is another attempt to replace said localization with another more "tame" version, thus localizing the localization.  Wouldn't this put the whole flawed concept of localization as a whole into question? 

Perhaps maybe focusing on translating the source properly and being more mindful of nuance would be the solution, instead of just making things up as you go along?
