Excited for Xenoblade and The Last Story...
source(s): Gamelife , GoNintendo
With Nintendo's release of teaser websites comes two pleasant surprises in Xenoblade, which is coming here under the North American title of Monado: Beginning of the world, and The Last Story, a joint effort between Nintendo and Mistwalker. The two games are the start of Nintendo's push for (better) RPGs on the Wii.
Xenoblade/Monado is being developed by Monolith Soft, who developed Baiten Kaitos, and other Xeno titles you all may remember. Iwata says that the title was changed to honor Tetsuya Takahashi, who dedicated himself to the Xeno series. Even so this name change will easily up the number of sales for this game all over.
The Last Story is being developed by Hironobu Sakaguchi's company Mistwalker, who also developed Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey. Of course the lines are being drawn between "Last Story" and "Final Fantasy". Here's to hoping that Last Story will bring back that spark that the latter series had before it went south and turned into a parade of emo fashion models and an over abundance of zippers.
..Worried about Metroid: Other M
Source(s): GoNintendo
The third teaser site was for Metroid: Other M. A game that people are excited for...well some people are excited for. The music of the teaser site brings a bit of melodrama into Samus' new adventure, and kind of sows the seed of doubt in longtime Metroid fans. Personally, I'm stuck in "Wait and see" mode, as I always am with these types of games, but we're all hoping that it doesn't turn into an episode of Days of our lives, with Stephano DeMira inserting memory chips into Samus' brain to make her assassinate royalty.
